I’m happy to be able to help promote two great races coming up in the Commonwealth of Virginia, both of which support great causes.
First is the Richmond Paddle Cup Race on August 28, just outside of Richmond, VA. It benefits the James River Foundation, whose mission is be a guardian of the James River and provide a voice for the river and take action to promote conservation and responsible stewardship of its natural resources.
And then on October 16 at First Landing State Park (a place I will always remember as Seashore State Park) we have the inaugural running of the Pipeline Paddle to a Cure Race, a fundraiser for the Virginia chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. It is a fully-supported paddle with route options of 10 and 4 miles.
Come on down (or up) and have a great day racing while raising money for good causes at the same time!
