New performance kayak sales are definitely waning, and folks aging out of the sport are putting many great performance kayaks into the used market. Fewer people getting into competitive kayaking combined with a glut of high-end kayaks creates an environment of low demand for new performance kayaks and plummeting prices on used, performance kayaks.
What once seemed like a pretty solid investment now seems like a losing proposition when it comes to buying and selling performance kayaks.
